Braden Scott joined the Otters for his first season in professional baseball in 2021. For the Otters, Scott went 8-4 with a 2.72 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 14 starts and 89.1 innings pitched. Signed in mid-June, the Otters southpaw played for three seasons --- including a shortened 2020 --- in Bloomington for the Indiana Hoosiers. The Clinton, Indiana native posted a 3.25 ERA as a Hoosier, through 55.1 innings and 39 games. Scott racked up 81 K’s in that span. He also spent time playing collegiate summer-ball with the Terre Haute Rex (2 seasons), formerly managed by Otters hitting coach Bobby Segal. In 2019, Scott was often used as a lefty specialist out of the Hoosiers bullpen.
