Trent Nash joins the Otters for his first season of professional baseball. Evansville drafted Nash in the first round (13th overall) of the Frontier League Tryout Draft in May, 2021. Nash, a Rex, Ga. native, most recently played for Middle Georgia State University in 2019, where he hit .335/.450/.529, with 26 doubles and 6 home runs  (.979 OPS). His senior year, Nash was recognized as the 2nd Team All-American second baseman by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), and won the NAIA’s Gold Glove award for second base. Over his two seasons with the Knights, Nash batted .340/.432/.582 in 121 games with 90 RBI, 52 doubles, and 21 home runs. Nash also played two seasons (2016-2017) with Bethune-Cookman University of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), NCAA Division I.
