Otters unveil revamped Opening Day 2025
EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Due to inclement weather and wet field conditions in Evansville Thursday night, the Evansville Otters' Opening Day against the Gateway Grizzlies has been postponed. However, Opening Day will still be celebrated tomorrow night during Friday's 6:35 p.m. game.
For the first time in Otters history, the team will celebrate 'Thirsty Friday,' with typical Thirsty Thursday drink specials being honored tomorrow night for the new Opening Day. 16oz cans will be $3 and draft beer will be $3 for 16oz and $6 for 32oz.
There is still tons of Opening Day fun and excitement planned, along with the recognition of former Otters coaching staff and players. Friday's originally scheduled jersey auction is postponed to later in the season - more info will be released when finalized. Make sure to get to your seat early tomorrow as Opening Day festivities will take place shortly after 6:10 p.m.
All tickets for tonight's game can be redeemed at the Evansville Otters box office for tomorrow night's game, so fans are encouraged to come out to Bosse Field for new Opening Day.
The Evansville Otters are the 2006 and 2016 Frontier League champions.
