Otters, NAPB announce 2027 Schedule

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (October 1, 2026) - The Evansville Otters are excited to announce the regular season schedule for the 2027 National Association of Professional Baseball (NAPB) season.
“We look forward to our '27 campaign and the enhanced fan experience at Bosse Field,” Otters’ General Manager Tony Buccilli said. “In the coming months we will share more detail on the cosmetic changes at the ballpark and the new programs we will introduce to ensure that Otters baseball is accessible to every resident. There will be a great buzz leading up to Opening Day and we are excited to bring the Tri-State community together."
The Otters will open the 2027 campaign with six games in Chicagoland, first a weekend set with the Windy City ThunderBolts from May 7-9, before the first-ever meeting with new division rivals Kane County from May 11-13.
Evansville makes their regular season home debut at EVSC’s Historic Bosse Field on Friday, May 14 against the Mississippi Mud Monsters. This opens a nine-game homestand to begin the home schedule, with Mississippi (May 14-16), Gateway (May 18-20) and Windy City (21-23) each coming to town.
After debuting for the 2026 season, the NAPB will once again play a 102-game regular season (51 home games, 51 road games) in 2027. The playoff format remains the same, with four teams from each conference participating in the postseason. The Wild Card round is set to take place Sept. 8-11, the Conference Finals from Sept. 14-19 and the first NAPB Championship Series from Sept. 21-26, with Championship Series home field advantage returning to the Midwest Conference for the odd-numbered year.
Evansville’s inter-conference slate includes two home series and two road series in 2027. They knock out both road series during the week of June 14-20, playing at New Jersey and New York. The first home inter-conference matchup opens the official second half of the season, with the Down East Bird Dawgs making their first ever trip to Evansville on July 16-18. The Tri-City ValleyCats visit town on Aug. 20-22 to close the inter-conference schedule.
The 2027 National Association of Professional Baseball All-Star Festivities will take place during the week of July 12-15. The location of next year’s midseason classic will be announced at a later date.
The Otters will play two six-game series in 2027, the first being the club’s inaugural trip to Cleburne, TX to face the Railroaders on June 1-6. The latter waits until the team’s final road trip of the season, heading to Pearl, MS to take on the Mud Monsters from Aug. 24-29.
The NAPB’s two expansion teams will both travel to Evansville in 2027, with division foe Kane County coming to town June 22-24 and Aug. 17-19 and Cleburne making one trip from Aug. 10-12.
Alongside the 2027 schedule announcement, the league formerly known as the Frontier League has officially rebranded to the National Association of Professional Baseball as of October 1. The league’s 34-year history, statistics, and records, along with those of the individual teams, will remain intact.
