RECAP | Otters fall in game three, still hold 2-1 lead in FLCF

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (Sept. 16, 2026) - The Evansville Otters (2-1) dropped a low-scoring game in Game Three of the Frontier League Midwest Conference Finals against the Washington Wild Things (1-2) on Friday night, 4-1.
Colby Morse made his second start of the postseason for the Otters against Drew Stegura, making his first professional playoff start for Washington.
Both teams would trade zeroes in the first two frames before the Wild Things would strike first, scoring a run in the third inning.
Two more runs would score in the fourth inning and one in the fifth for Washington to put them up 4-1.
The Otters got a run back in the sixth inning on an RBI single from LG Castillo.
Evansville’s bullpen put in another solid shift as Joe Morrissey, Chase Kriebel and Nolan Thebiay combined for almost four innings of scoreless ball.
The Otters couldn’t find the run column in the final three innings and dropped the third game of the series.
Evansville continues with the Frontier League Midwest Conference Finals tomorrow with Game Four against the Wild Things at 6:05 p.m. CT at EQT Park. The Otters still lead the best-of-five series 2-1 and can win the series tomorrow.
