Ben, otherwise known as Benny, is from Evansville, Ind. and is entering his 14th season with the Evansville Otters.
Starting as a batboy in 2010, Garrett was promoted into the clubhouse manager role in 2015. He credits much of his success to former clubhouse manager and mentor, Sam "Sammy" Hartsfield, who preceded Garrett in the position.
Garrett is responsible for distribution and laundering of team uniforms, assistance with equipment, keeping the clubhouse organized and tidy, helping with team meals and necessary items, and whatever else he can do to make the clubhouse a comfortable, happy, and successful environment for the Otters.
Garrett was part of the 2016 Frontier League Championship team in Evansville, and in 2018, Garrett earned the Frontier League's Sam Hartsfield Award for Clubbie of the Year.
Outside of the Otters, Garrett earned his Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Southern Indiana and teaches at Evansville's Westside Catholic school. Garrett is also an Evansville Mater Dei alum.
Garrett is married to his wife, Tori, and the couple have a son, Everrett, and a daughter, Lettie.
