After transferring to Bellevue University, Nick threw 15 1/3 innings while striking out 26 working mostly out of the bullpen. Esposito led the team in strikeouts per nine innings with a 15.26 ratio and was a member of Bellevue's 2008 NAIA World Series team. Esposito has a degree in Sports Management with a minor in Sports Communication, and was a two time member of the Bellevue Dean's List. "I am very thrilled to be apart of the 2010 Evansville Otters. From talking with Coach Foucault and Kevin Cope, it was hard not to be excited to play here. I would also like to thank my family, who never gave up on me and kept pushing me to pursue my dream. Also, I would like to thank Coach Bob Caswell, who was always there to make me a better ball player and taught me the right way to play the game. I was fortunate to be able to play for two great baseball programs in college, and I can not wait to continue that in Evansville with the Otters." said Esposito after being signed with the Otters.
