Steve Marino signed his first professional contract with the Evansville Otters on July 3, 2012.

Marino played four years with Stony Brook University from 2008 until 2011, playing as the No. 3 player in the America East conference in 2011.

During his four years with Stony Brook, Marino hit .327 in 178 games. He tallied 116 RBIs and 107 runs scored with 210 hits in 643 at-bats.

Marino was an America East All-Star third baseman in 2010 and 2011.
