Biography:

Infielder Taylor Black is in his second season with the Otters.

He joined the Otters on June 20, 2012. After playing three years in college, including two with the University of Kentucky, Black was drafted in the 16th round of the 2011 MLB First Year Player draft.

In his only season with the Phillies organization, Black played 58 games with the Williamsport Crosscutters in 2011. He hit .212 in 184 plate appearances, with 14 runs and 17 RBIs.

During his time with the University of Kentucky Wild Cats, the Easley, South Carolina native hit .308 with 20 career home runs, 118 runs scored and 109 RBIs.
