06/05/2009 3:00 PM - It’s all about the Otters this Saturday, June 6 at Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden! Visit the Evansville Otters’ players and mascots from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. as they sign autographs and pose for pictures with Zoo visitors. Hundreds of free tickets to Evansville Otters games will be given away during the event as game prizes. Splish and Splash, the Zoo’s River Otters, will also receive special attention. Zookeeper will give an educational talk about otters and feed these playful animals a delicious breakfast and special treats at 10:45 and 12:15. Don’t miss the Docent’s Fun in the Forest presentation at 11:00 in the Children’s Enchanted Forest!
Mesker Park Zoo & Botanic Garden is an Association of Zoos and Aquarium accredited facility. The zoo & botanic garden is open 365 days a year from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; the entry gate closes at 4:00 p.m. Admission for adults is $8.50 and $7.50 for children ages 3-12. Children under 3 are free. In recognition of their support, Vanderburgh County residents receive a $1 discount.
