(EVANSVILLE, Indiana) - The Schaumburg Boomers won the first game of the doubleheader 5-0, but the Evansville Otters surged from behind to win the final game 6-3 on Thursday night.

With the victory, Evansville has won the series against Schaumburg, the first place team in the Frontier League West Division.
Evansville native and game two starter
Adam Champion (2-2) pitched six innings for the Otters, allowing three runs in the win.
The Otters trailed 3-0 early but the team rallied back for five runs in the bottom of the fourth. Shortstop
Luis Parache hit the first of five consecutive hits with an RBI double. First baseman
Nick Schwaner and outfielder
Runey Davis followed with RBI singles. Designated hitter
DeAngelo Mack then hit an RBI double, and right fielder
Luis Uribe roped an RBI single as well. When the scoring was finished, Evansville erased a three-run deficit and turned that into a two-run lead.
Ahead 5-3, the Otters added another late run and closer
Eric Massingham completed the win for his 10th save of the season.
Earlier in the day, Evansville lost the first game of the doubleheader 5-0.
The Boomers scored two unearned runs in the first and three more unearned runs in the fourth for the victory.
Evansville is now 19-26 as Schaumburg stands at 28-17.
The Otters will now travel to the Florence Freedom for the final series of the first half. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EDT in Kentucky.
