(Evansville, IN) To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the movie “A League of Their Own” the Evansville Otters will show the movie at Bosse Field on June 22nd at 8pm. Ticket will be $5.00 for general admission and $8.00 for box seats and they can be purchased in advance and at the gate. Many scenes from “A League of Their Own” were filmed in Bosse Field and around the Evansville area.
Along with the movie, retired players from the AAGPBL will also be coming to Evansville for the movie.
Eileen “Ginger” Gascon; Chicago, IL 1 year in the league, was in the movie in scene filmed at Cooperstown.
Erma Berman; St. Louis, MO 5 years in the league, played 2 seasons with the Racine Belles.
Dolly Kowinski; Grand Rapids, MI 82 years old
Betty Francis; Chicago, IL 81 years old played 6 years in the league
Antique cars that were in the movie will be on display by the Tri-State Antique Car Club. A “League of Their Own” movie night is sponsored by Kenny Kent Toyota.
