(EVANSVILLE, Indiana) – With only a month until the season starts, the Evansville Otters keep making moves to build the best possible team.

Just in the last week, the Otters signed three players, released three other players and completed a trade as well.

It all started on Monday when the Otters signed outfielder Troy Frazier while releasing first baseman Steve Caseres and shortstop Greg Fontenot.

Then on Tuesday, Evansville signed rookie outfielder Luis Uribe from Oklahoma State and released utilityman Jared Jordan later that afternoon.

After a few days of no roster adjustments, the Evansville Otters were back at it on March 29th. The team traded outfielder Jamar Walton to the San Angelo Colts of the North American League in exchange for infielder Daniel Hernandez.

On that same day, the Otters also signed left handed pitcher Garrett Bullock.

Finishing the week in transactions, Evansville added right handed pitcher Steve Matre by signing him on Saturday.

Opening Day for the Otters at historic Bosse Field is Friday, May 18, 2012, when Evansville hosts the Washington Wild Things. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. CDT, and season tickets are on sale now.
