(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - The Evansvile Otters beat the Normal CornBelters 4-1 on Friday night, extending their season-high winning streak to six games.

Matt Crim started for the Evansville Otters and did not allow a run until the top of the fifth inning on an RBI double from first baseman Ernie Banks Jr.
Down 1-0, Evansville then surged back in the bottom of the inning against pitcher Tyler Stovall. First baseman Nick Schwaner scored infielder
Greg Fontenot on an RBI double to left field and outfielder
DeAngelo Mack followed with a two-run home run.
Evansville added another run in the seventh, as reliever
Patrick Crider and
Eric Massingham each threw a scoreless inning to cap another Otters win.
The Otters are now 33-37 this season as the CornBelters drop to 23-47.
Crim (3-7) is the winning pitcher, allowing one earned run in 7.0 innings. Stovall takes the loss, yielding three runs in 6.0 innings. Massingham also recorded his 19th save of the season, a Frontier League high. It is also the 41st save for Massingham as a member of the Otters, tying him for third most in league history.
Evansville will now be going for their seventh consecutive win on Saturday. It is Edward Jones night at the ballpark with first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m. Evansville native
Adam Champion (4-4, 2.90 ERA) will start for the Otters as the lefty will be opposed by right-hander Brandon Smith (2-3, 2.73 ERA). Hope to see you at the ballpark for baseball and postgame fireworks sponsored by Edward Jones.
